at CrossFit PPG

  • In-costume workout for both adults & children*
  • Prizes for best costume & top finishers
  • Healthy Trick or Treating
  • Party with Halloween themed activities

We’d like to help promote better health / fitness / nutrition to the community, so are opening up the gym to local businesses in these industries to have a “healthy trick or treating booth” where the children would stop by. There’s no charge for the booth. We just ask that the business help spread the word about the event.

How can local businesses be involved (for free)?

We at CrossFit PPG believe that we are living in a time when it is very important to help promote better health, fitness and nutrition. We have a passion for helping others live more fit lives and aim to do this right here in the community we love.

Therefore, we are opening up the gym to local businesses that help promote better health, fitness and nutrition.

After the in-costume workout, we’ll have ‘healthy trick or treating.’  We wouldn’t want competitors there, so just one booth per product/service type is available.

There’s no charge for the booth. We just ask that the business help spread the word about the event.

How do we spread the word?

You can spread the word however you like. The idea is of course to let people in the community know about the event.  Since you already reach those in the community who are interested in better health, fitness and nutrition, you can continue to reach them in the way you have been. Examples include:
•    Email: You can use the provided template below or write your own.
•    Email Newsletter: The event could be featured in your email newsletter
•    Text Message: If you use a text-message broadcast system, the event could be shared via text
•    Flyer: We have a flyer that we can provide you to hang and/or give out in your location
•    Social Media: The event is on Facebook here and you can share it on your Facebook page
•    Or, any other way that you choose

What are healthy treats?

Some have said “there’s no such thing as healthy treats,” and while that may or may not be true, the idea is for the businesses to give out something that the children (or adults) in attendance at the event would like and hopefully bring more business to the local organization as well.

For example, a dentist will be giving out toothbrushes with toys and ‘healthy candy.’ A sports-drink company will be giving out samples of the drink. Others may be giving out nerf footballs or Frisbees or a ‘healthy snack.’  It can be anything. The products could be branded with your business information, or not. Again, it’s your choice.

Can I do the workout too?

You can certainly participate in the in-costume workout, but you do not have to. The workout is free and open to the public (it’s designed for anyone age 8 or over).  The trick or treating will be after the workout, so you can do both if you like.
